i was wondering if there's a mod i can do to my Valve Jr. head that involves adding tubes to give it a higher wattage? and also mods for like, EQ, boost, gain and whatever
i know there's tons but if you guys could steer me in the right direction that would be great! home made recipes are accepted too!

No. The power supply is designed with respect to the tubes being used.

The entire circuit is designed around the tube(s). Adding another stage would draw more current from the power transformer, likely damaging it or destroying it. The resistors will also receive more current resulting in their failure too. Get a power amp if you need it or get a bigger amp.

actually you'd need a new output transformer if you wanted more watts and more output tubes.

but you can certainly add a few preamp tubes.

Output transformers are really expensive. Around the $200 range for about 20Watts. Your power supply filtering will sag if you add tubes too. You'll likely need to replace the power transformer and filtering. That's another few hundred dollars.

I'm not one to tell the op that the job is gonna be easy...

but your information is completely wrong.

a 20 watt output transformer is like 30 bucks.

and the valve junior power transformer can handle it.

you can check this out for more information op.

Just change the type of tube it uses. Make it to run on a fvckin KT88!!!
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

What kind of OT are you looking at? 20Hz-20kHz +/- 1dB? Push-pull or single ended? A good OT is quite expensive. Maybe the $200 was a bit exaggerated, but it is $100ish.

what 2 small bottle tubes run in push pull can get as well as 20hz at 20 watts?

The 100 watt 20h-20khz 1.7k primary tranny from edcor costs 92 bucks

http://www.edcorusa.com/products/456-cxpp100-ms-1_7k.aspx

I'm sure they'd make you a 20hz-20khz 15-20 watt transformer as well. If their 100 watt costs 92 bucks there's no way in hell their 20watter would come anywhere near 100-200 bucks like you seem to think.

The only transformers that cost 100 or so for a 15w-20w are the onetics and their pretty much the best you can do for guitar amps. Pretty much completely unnecessary for a valve junior upgrade.

Designing your own amp takes an engineering degree, but building it only takes common sense, SAFETY, research, and some hard work.

Don't try to make a tube amp before you know all basic electronics. You can die easily if you touch a capacitor.
