Hey everyone!

Currently looking around on a swedish "ebay type" site and I found this guitar for a reasonable price. To me everything looks good, so I emailed the owner asking about model (traditional, standard or others) and he doesn't know, but he says he bought it a year ago and that it's a 2008 model.

Am I stupid or? Hopefully someone can figure it out

Looks like a standard, but I'd be leary if the guuy who bought it "doesn't know the model". You can as for the serial # on the head stock, and check with Gibson to see if the guitar is legit.

That's what I thought.

What the heck does it say on the truss rod cover?? It looks like a signature or something, its not the typical cursive standard or traditional

Looks like a plus top honeyburst to me

But yeah, the truss rod cover does look funny to me, it doesn't look like a slash LP because that's more of a tobacco burst colour and the pickups are uncovered.

That's just a sticker that says either "50's Neck" or "60's Neck."

2008 honeyburst standard plus. if what he says about the year is correct, the serial would help there.

about what is the "reasonable" price? i mean if it's too good to be true then.

Thanks for all suggestions, have emailed him regarding serial.

As for "reasonable price" it's 13000 swedish kronor (08-standards would be 20000 in stores) so 35% "off".

And by the way, followup question, what's the spec difference on standard plus and standard?
I'm on the hunt for a standard, I'm assuming standard "plus" would just be even better, but compared specs and can't find any difference.

Same specs, the plus top has a flamed top, the plain doesn't.

Knob position looks funny, though it may have to do with the angle in the picture. Ask for a serial number and more pics.
