I've always played blues and Neil young and Hendrix but I recently heard Wes Montgomery and am trying to get into the jazz world. What basic jazz songs would you suggest I start out with?

Why, exactly, did you make another thread of basically the same thing, when your other thread was top post?

Its not even about the same thing, he asks for scales in the other post and now its songs.

Anyway! Try autumn leaves, wave, blue bossa, the girl from ipanema and misty. The list goes on and on, search on google for like "essential jazz standards" or something and you might find something good

Somebody had to be that guy right?

And you were right.

Autumn Leaves and Oleo are two extremely popular standards and great tunes to get started with.
