Hey all, I'm pretty new to playing the guitar and I bought my first acoustic from a friend recently. I can find a lot of instructions on changing strings (it's hardly been used at all, but he's had it for a few months and I imagine the strings will need changing sooner or later from what the internet tells me) and they seem simple to follow but I'm not 100% sure how they apply to my guitar.

The bridge seems to have a permanent plastic cover over the top of it, like so: http://oi53.tinypic.com/iftnrs.jpg

Logically I should be able to change them, since it's a proper and decent acoustic guitar and strings eventually wear out. How exactly am I meant to change them? Is this going to be easy, troublesome, or am I just a bit dense? I'm really keen to play more at home because I hardly get any time at school and I absolutely love the guitar, it'd be great if I could get this thing tuned up and ready to play soon without having to worry about not knowing how to change the strings.

Thanks in advance and sorry if it's a stupid question.

Edit: This might be better in the acoustic guitar forum, feel free to move it if it's out of place here.

Cut the strings. Pull them out through the bridge. And then take the new strings and pull them through the bridge and wind them up.
don't forget to loosen the strings from the tuners first! and change them one string at a time
