I thought they only had 2 guitars?
To be vulnerable is needed most of all, if you intend to truly fall apart.

A lot of acoustic players keep all of their guitars on stage with them. Went to a show once where there were 5 of those, so there must've been like 20 guitars, but of course they weren't playing 'em all simultaneously

Also there's some videos of an Ibanez anniversary party or something where there's like 8 endorsed guitarists on the same stage. Sounda pretty awful, but then again Metallica has been doing that sh*t for 25 years or so (way before the big 4 thing). I once read an interview with Hetfield where he talked about some mini festival where they invited 4 other bands on stage (like Metal Church, Exodus, etc.) and at one point he yells "Everybody solo!"

Must've sounded pretty Spinal Tap-ish

I was in a band with four guitarists once. There was lead guy, arpeggio guy, rhythm guy, atmospheric delay-and-reverb guy, and me (weird tuning and feedback guy). It didn't work very well.

World of Leather

A band around in the late 80/s/90's.

Auditioned 14 guitar players. Liked them all, hired them all.

Thread over.

I instantly remembered this, 1683 guitars playing Smoke in the Water at some park in Kansas, idk if it counts
