Sweet! First legit project post!

Anyways, I've ordered the body and neck to a vintage '60s MIJ guitar. I may have identified it as a Prestige, at least, it looks like one I found. Anyways, I ordered it.

I'll be in the process of rebuilding it into a working guitar over the next few months or so. I ordered a Lace Dually Red/Silver and a Sensor Gold just now, so currently I need a bridge, pots, switch, jack, and a pickguard, which I'll probably have to make myself.

Also, depending on the condition of the body, I may paint it white.

Pickguard will either be mint green or tortoise.

A pic.

Forgot to mention, getting tuners from a friend.

x2 Edit, that is not the actual item, but what it probably looked like at one point.

Made a vector file. I will not be looking for an original bridge or pickguard or anything, so this isn't much of a restore.

Question for wirers. Should the switch be ON/ON/ON or ON/OFF/ON?

Quick update.
Bridge, pots, knobs, switch, pickguard material(mint green), jack plate, and jack have all been ordered from Guitarfetish.
Now all I might need is a router bit and some screws.

This man speaks sense. You can easily fit four or five stacked humbuckers in there. Coil tap all of them and have a massive array of switches.

I doubt I will do anything like this. I had crazy wiring in my Strat for a long time but ended up liking it simpler. It's still pretty weird though.

As cool as a ton of pickups might be, I would personally only put in one (a P-90), possibly two pickups. Then, I would fill in the rest of the space with as much wood as possible, leaving room for wiring, of course.

On second thought, I might do it like the Wayne Kramer Strat (single-humbucker-single), but replace the humbucker with a P-90. Otherwise, I'd definitely fill in the empty area with some good wood.

All the pickups are here. Tomorrow Dad and I'll probably start work on the pickguard and hopefully finish it this week. Also, I'm debating hiding a middle pickup under the pickguard so I can get quacky stratty sounds. Thoughts on that?

Like big pictures, much?

And are you a country guy? Only thing I've ever seen Lace Sensors used for.

Blues, country... meh. Country isn't my thing, I love blues (not a huge Clapton guy though )

Still, Lace Sensor's aren't used for anything past that though

Smashing Pumpkins?

Also small, dumb update.
We couldn't make the pickguard, but my dad's uncle might have the right tools. For the time being, the Sensors are in my Artcore, and I'm loving them. I'll get the right switch soon so I don't have to run the Dually in parallel.

I did put the bridge and tuners on this thing. After some setup it should play pretty well.

It WILL need some string trees though. Not having one makes the E, B, and G sound weak and they sorta buzz around the zero fret.

I really just wanted a somewhat stratty sound, since I've grown tired of the whole neck humbucker thing. I actually can't stand neck humbuckers right now.
