think I might get it guys, the case it's self is worth 100, not even including the guitar, sounds like a good snag if it isn't a chinese copy.

i'd guess mexican as a USA one would be far more than that.

No, MIMs and MIAs say so on the headstock, same with MII and MIC. Look at the 3rd pic towards the neck heel. Only some of the MIJs and MIKs have them on that area.

With the Maple-like top, it looks to be MIJ.

appears to be a japanese made strat with a photo top. hard to tell for sure from the pix. the flame top is just a picture laminated on the guitar and not a real maple laminate. good pix of the front and back of the headstock will tell the tale.
