Ok so I'm looking for a small tube amp that runs on about 4 or 5 watts of power to use as a recording amp in my band. I have heard good things about the fender champ 600 but I was wondering if there were any other options along the same line as that. My main guitar is a Fender Telecaster but I also use a Squier Stratocaster as a backup guitar. I'm not really on a budget persay but I'm really just looking around for when I have more money.
blackstar ht5, it blows fender champs away. i love the blackstar stuff.

Bollocks. A HT-5 can never get the pristine cleans of a Champ if you back off the volume a bit. And for blues a Champ cranked up full will eat a HT-5 for breakfast and spit out the bones like an owl.
The Champs are great but to get the most out of them you need to run them through a decent speaker cab. It's hard to beat a Champ through quality 12" speakers.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
