Found this amp on ebay for cheap and wanted to know if anyone has any opinions on it. I currently use a line 6 spider 4 15 watt and wanted to know if this amp would be a big step up

Well, it will be loud enough to gig with but tonally, not much of an improvement. Bandits are as clear and defined as a puddle of mud. I'd keep saving your pennies.

I have one to keep me warm in the middle of my financial winter, as I wait to get more money for that 6505+ I'm after. (money rolls slow here)

Besides, it's better than running through a 30-watt Roland Bass Cube. Atleast I have distortion now

But for you, I would keep that money where it is until you can get your hands on something you just know is better, like an Engl.

The JCM2000 is a fine amp but I don't think that's what you are looking at. A g100r is an MG I think. You'd be better off with the bandit than an MG. Personally, I wouldn't let either into my house.

Depends on what you're going for.

The Bandit isn't completely useless - it has one use, which if I had the funds to just throw around, I would probably buy one for. The Peavey Transtube + the Boss HM-2 basically created the classic death metal tone. Having those 2 pieces of gear (which are pretty much dirt cheap, relatively) can instantly nail that tone, which is amazing, if you're into that sort of thing. Personally, I'm much more of a fan (it's one of my very favorite tones, actually) of the more modern version of it, Bloodbath's version of using the Boss HM-2 into a Marshall DSL50. But still, it is what it is.

im looking for an amp that is a step up from my line 6 spider 4 15 watt and would like to be able to play small gigs with it. High end marshalls are out of my price range bujt i would like an amp that could get a sort of joe satriani/adrian smith tone. If anyone could suggest some very good mid-priced amps i would be forever gratefull.

I think your best bet would be a Marshall JCM2000 combo. An alternative would be a Peavey JSX combo.
