Not necessarily your favorite musicians, but a group that you'd like to see form. Also, this isn't supposed to be realistic. Chances are none of these will happen (especially mine) but it's nice to wonder.

Mine would be what I call the "effects people" or the people that incorporate many different sounds.

Vocals - Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer)
Guitar - Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Nightwatchmen)
Bass - Justin Chancellor (Tool, Peach)
Drums - Neil Peart (Rush)

All these guys are really innovative in their own roles and I think they would have an incredibly unique sound. Morello and Chancellor alone would be awesome to hear. Maynard would

After looking this up, it does look really interesting. I will definitely look more into this band.

Anyway, if I had to make a super group, it might be something along the lines of:

Vocals: King Diamond
Lead Guitar: Dave Mustaine
Rhythm Guitar: Alex Skolnick
Bass: Cliff Burton
Drums: Dave Lombardo

That would probably be the greatest thrash metal band of all time.

John Coltrane on tenor saxophone, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on double-bass, Philly Joe Jones on drums and Miles Davis on the trumpet.

oh wait...
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.
