If i have 2x 8 ohms speakers in series wiring.. should the switch on my amp be set to 4 ohms?

I think the speakers are in series wiring.. its like this.. positive going to left speaker.. negative going to right.. then the negative of the left is connected to the positive on the right

i think i've found the answer. It would be 4 ohms for parallel but 16 ohms for series

Yeah, in series the impedance adds up. Your configuration would be 16 ohms.
To match 4 ohms, you need the speakers in parallel (positives and negatives on the same side)
