Excuse my ignorance, I know NOTHING about guitars or gear.

But I just got a free Encore guitar (I'm primarily a bassist) and I'm wondering if it's alright to play in a band.

the guitars arent great and can be very noisy when distorted. but they can sound better through a good amp. so if you wanna play that guitar with a band make sure its through a good amp or its gonna sound muddy and crap.
