Ok so I'm a nerd in that I love video game music because a lot of it tends to be great music in general. I really like Nobuo Uematsu and whoever wrote the Donkey Kong Soundtracks. The music definitely has stuck with me over the years ever since I was a kid. What are some other good composers that people like or listen to?

I don't know the composer's names but I do like a few songs from video games. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with liking music, regardless of what it was written for. People listen to film soundtracks, so what's the difference?

Koji Kondo is awesome

And Super Metroid is the best game soundtrack I've heard, composed by Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano

Robin Beanland, great composer, and I think Hans Zimmer does a good job when he does video game soundtracks.

I heard the composer for Supreme Commander wrote some pretty epic tunes. Never played that, tho.

The bolded part. I love his music and I'm sad to hear he's not the composer for the new game.

I love the Assassin's Creed games. The music is one of the reasons why.

Ezio's Family

When I saw this scene I was amazed by the whole cinematic experience and how the music was perfect for it.
