I've had this 98' MiM Fender strat for a while now, but have done modifications to it.
It was originally and unaesthetically pleasing blue/purple with white pickguard and 3 single coils.
So 3 finishes later, here it is:

I finished it in white, put on a custom pickguard I made, and put 3 modified humbuckers (each containing 3 ceramic magnets) with single volume and 5 way switch.

The guitar itself plays very smoothly and sounds phenomenal, and is very quiet.
I was going for an 80's style scheme when I had the modifications in mind.
You'll find that it is very similar in appearance to Jake E. Lee's Charvel.

I'd take out the middle pickup, change the knob and make the pickups white

that's a straight up rocker there.

no worrying about accidentally rolling back the tone knob. looks great.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Looks nice. How does one change out a single coil in the bridge to a humbuggy? do you need to route it out or anything? I'm also using a MiM strat

Well, usually you just use a dremmel and cut out the humbucker shape, but you may have to fill in and redrill new screw holes.
This pickguard I made out of an old 2 ply sheet of plastic.

I thought strats had universal routing

Warmoth also does pickguards
