I was having a silly debate with a friend about book/movie sequels. I joked about JK Rowling writing books about Harry Potter's kids. My friend said that it would suck because sequels about the kids are always bad (i.e the lion king 2 or tron 2). I think that there are some good ones but the only one I could think of is the lord of the rings. While not about bilbo's kid, it is about his nephew. There are also the Star Wars expanded universe which are pretty popular among hardcore star wars fans.

So what other good ones/bad ones are there?

The Little Mermaid 2. Or 3. I can't remember. Air Bud/Air Buddies. Lady and the Tramp.
EDIT: Supersac, I watched your youtube link. I'm reporting it for porn because your cat was eating his arse out. I could not stop laughing.

this of course is the opposite of star wars: the crappy movies are about the main character's dad

also, if you want to use lord of the rings with the middle-earth timeline, a ton of stuff happened before The Hobbit
"The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, and his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted."

Dude, Tron legacy was ****ing sick. Also, S. Darko comes to mind

There is a sizeable amount of material dedicated to the lives of Harry Potter's children.

The Rose Weasley/Scorpius Malfoy ship is pretty popular.

The New Testament was pretty good.

You are EXTREMELY WRONG! I have played it. I own an 18W and it would be an awful stereo amp, it's way too bright, breaks up too easily and so on. Secondly, why would a guitar store sell an hifi amp.

Where can one find such material?

Which is why you eat funions. All the deliciousness of fried onions without disgusting lukewarm onion snake.

FanFiction.net is usually where these stories are posted.

There are also many dedicated HPFF sites all over the internets, two well-known ones being HarryPotterFanFiction.com and FanFiction.MuggleNet.com.

I swear to god I know someone who writes for a HPFF site. But she straight up denies it.

What a bitch. I would never lie to you, or anyone.

I don't think I could ever read fan fiction.

You're surprised that she is denying it? I'm pretty sure confirming that would be social suicide.

It's usually like that, because most fan fiction is just people writing about unlikely sexual relationships.

Yesterday, I read a Weasley Twins slash fic. It was pretty meh. Might've been better with Lee Jordan and his tarantula.

James Bond Junior.... Bad.
You take my place in the showdown, I observe with a pitiful eye. I'll humbly ask you forgiveness, a request well beyond you and I.

My ex girlfriend used to read that stuff... I'm surprised you had the balls to come out and say you do. According to her, most of it is straight up erotica.

But it sucked so much balls.

Like, all the balls. All of them.

It has taken this long for anyone to mention Godfather Part II? I am ashamed, Pit

That is, if you take Vito to be the main character of I, which I guess is debatable.

First off, Tron: Legacy kicked ass, sure it's missing some elements of it's source material, but a good film nonetheless.

A bad one that was planned, and I hope doesn't come to fruition is a new generation of Indiana Jones with Shia Labeouf

Back to the future II anybody?

"It's your kids, Marty! Something has to be done about your kids! Your daughter marries a black man!"

Back on topic, I have to agree that Tron: Legacy broke the cycle of crap movies that follow the original protagonist's children. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the movie was.

Actually, I don't actively seek it out.

A friend of mine told me that she read that Weasley twins fic and that she found it disgusting, so I asked her to send me a copy.

Michael is the main character in both. But even if he wasn't, half of Godfather II is about Vito as a young man.

Star Wars of course is like the go to example.

I dunno. I consider the whole series to be about Anakin.
