How far should my bridge be from my pickup? On my ibanez artcore ak86 it was right up against the pickup but I've seen on other hollowbodies it's like an inch or two away. Whats the difference?

find out the scale of your guitar, your bridge should be that far from the nut for best intonation
Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top
Jet City JCA5212RC (SLO Modded)
Ibanez WD7 Wah
Mad Professor Sweet Honey Overdrive
TC Electronic Flashback Triple Delay
TC Electronic Trinity Reverb

all guitars will vary some, as gabbifer said above, bridge location is relative to the nut or 12th fret, not the pickup. the pickup is located wherever you (or the factory) wanted it. the closer to the bridge, the more twang you get. switch your pickup switch from neck to bridge. hear the difference? the closer one is to the neck or bridge the bigger the difference between the two.
