Hey all.

First off, see my build thread, this is relevant.

I need a string retainer bar. I found one on Ebay, but it seems a little pricey. (Ok not that bad, but still.)

Is there a way to make one? I'm not going for original, just functional.

Thanks

Hmm, fill them. How much are string retainers needed in the first place?

Guitars that have a headstock that doesn't angle down, away from the fretboard need them. The retainers pull the strings down from the nut, helping keep a more downward force on the nut.
