I think im gonna get a squier bronco since i've been getting into some really fuzzy distorted stuff (dfa 1979 style) and they just seem perfect for it.

if I didn't lke the guitar i was gonna de fret it (or if I really like it buy a new one and defret that) but was wondering if its harder to defret maple than rosewood.

For some reason, I want to say that defretting maple is slightly easier because it tends to chip less than rosewood. I would look it up though as I'm not sure at all that I'm not lying to you right now.
