Hello everyone, I was wondering if there's a safe way to remove the plastic washer on a Les Paul. I do NOT want to risk chipping, or damaging the finish in any way. Obviously, I want all the glue to be removed as well.

The plastic ring is not guled on a lp all you need to do is unscrew the cavity cover for the switch, get a wrench (normaly 5/16) un screw the nut that the plastic Rithym/Treble plate off and bot the switch back on.

I agree that the ring looks just silly. The one on my Epi had a bit of glue, but the glue was soft and came off easily.
