Used Peavey Ultra or 6505.

Providing you have a cab already.

I am gonna make my own cab once I get a head or if I can find a decent combo around $500 to $600.

What about the Vyper series head's are they any good?

Well, the Vyper Tube series are alright I guess, although I'm not really a fan of them personally. For Parkway Drive tones, a 6505 wins hands down. You can pretty much dial in their "tone" in minutes of fiddling round with the knobs.

Ok well the 6505+ head is a little out my reach unless it is really worth saving for. Are the 6505+ combo's any good or the valveking head?

The + isn't really worth the extra cash in my opinion, see if you can find a 6505 head used.

The combo is apparently quite good though. But if you are to build a cab I suggest you get the head.

Well I will only build a cab if I get a head but if not I'll get a combo. I'll look for used of all three as well. Do you think I will need a noise gate for these to.

The speaker in the 6505+ combo is pretty terrible from what I've heard.

Also, yes, these amps are noisy as all hell. I'd also suggest a tube screamer in the future, tightens them up even further and just gives them another dimension which is brilliant.

Parkway's live rig pretty much consists of a;

6505 Head
Mesa 4x12
Maxon OD808
Boss NS2

But since Deep Blue, Jeff has got some modulation effects in there now. Pre Deep Blue that was his exact setup.

Bear in mind the 5150 is the exact same amp as the 6505 and the 5150 II is the exact same amp as the 6505+. 5150's pop up used all the time, keep an eye out and you might be able to snag one around that price.

Alright guy's thank you. So this my choice's.

1. Save for a 6505 or a 6505+ head
2. Look for a used 6505+ 112 combo
3. Look for a used 5150 or 5150 ll head or combo

I was also looking at the Dean Dime 120W head as well, is it a good head for $400?

I don't like the DIME amps, if you want that tone, get a Randall RG

If you don't mind Bugera, the 6260 is a 5150 clone and they make it as a head or a 2x12 combo. It gets good reviews also.

Oh never thought or knew that. Well I'll look into those as well, what exactly make's it a clone though?

Valveking won't do it for you. just not a death metal amp without a really good overdrive in front. even then wouldn't be the first choice at all. go for the 6505+ combo (you'll need to luck out and find agreat deal used or need to same some more cash for it).

Well I have seen the 6505+ combo go used for $350 to $500 on guitar center. I am almost just thinking about saving to get the head, or get the combo then save for the head.

They pretty much coppied the circut for the 6260 from the 5150, not exactly, but pretty much. The Bugera are said to have a better clean channel than the 5150 also. They are also cabable of running 6l6 and el34 power tube, hence the Peavey 6534+ came out after the bugera did this. Look at Mtuck5150 or Dangle on youtube, they do a great job at showing what these amps can do.
