Guess it depends on your definition of Metalcore. I can see the resemblance with certain bands that label themselves as metalcore, but for me, metalcore is a true blend of metal and hardcore. Though there are many who would argue with me, I believe bands like Integrity and Ringworm are true metalcore. And they really have almost no resemblance of melodic death metal

pretty simple.

metalcore = hardcore + metal. not much melodeath influence there.
pop metalcore = melodeath with generic chug breakdowns.

you're thinking of pop metalcore.

yep. They don't have any real connection with hardcore besides breakdowns but even those they took and made them very poppy and accessible.

As i lay dying - through struggle Vs In flames - crawl through knives ! then say there's no similarity xD

Bolded text appears to be strikingly similar to the symbols used throughout the Naqada period..

..But what does it mean? Are you inferring a simple direct statement, or perhaps citing the ancient foundation of which mathematics will be based upon?

One pop metal band being more poppy than another doesn't make the other any less poppy.

Everything that you listed that's not in the "hardcore metal" section is pretty damn poppy.

Hell, even most melodeath is pretty damn poppy, unless it's actually got a significant amount of regular death metal in the sound like Eucharist or something.

Melodic Death Metal: Demigod, Sentenced(old), Eucharist, Quo Vadis, Vehemence

Metalcore: Shai Hulud, Botch, Converge, Poison The Well, 7 Angels 7 Plagues

Heavy Metal with Death-like vocals and a bit more technical: In Flames, Soilwork, Omnium Gatherum, The Abscence, Archons, Disarmonia Mundi

Thrash and Gothenburg melodeath influenced Metal: Trivium, Shadows Fall, Lamb Of God, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage

Breakdown intensive and horridly structured pop punk: Attack Attack! Asking Alexandria, A Day To Remember, Design The Skyline, Alesana

Nothings wrong with liking any of these, your taste is your own, shouldn't follow trends, best not to kick pands, ect ect.
