My wah gets really bright when I put it up all the way. I know you can fuck with it some way or another to change how much it... "wah"s or whatever, but I have no clue how. I'm totally cool with rewiring and stuff and when I took off the plate it looked really simple like a guitar, but as I've said before.... I know nothing about electronics, lol.

If it's a crybaby, you can loosen the screw that holds the bar (with teeth on it) that's attached to the sweep pedal, and the teeth move the pot, loosen that screw, move that bar out of the way, and turn the pot down a little so the high end isn't so high. I had to do that with mine too.

so basically what your saying is move the bar free and roll the pot down just a little bit so that it can't go as sharp and screw it back on, a few teeth/notches/whatever up?

Pretty much, yea. Have it plugged into your amp, and keep fiddling till you find the spot you like. Then put it all back together.

No problem man
Once you open up the back, you'll see what parts you have to tinker around with. Really easy to do, just hard to explain through text. Especially when I'm on my phone, and don't feel like trying to search for exact part names and pictures.

Learn to not move your foot that far down unless you're turning it off
Just practice with it.
There's more to a wah than just rocking it full open to full close over and over.

I know... But I'm just used to modding things do they make the sound I want, lol. Guess it's just like vibrato... You just do it and it develops

I've never met a Crybaby that didn't need to skip a tooth on the gear, actually. And you know what- you can mod it to not go as bassy. Just get one of those thick adhesive rubber dampeners that you can buy pretty much everywhere and stick that under the pedal where it touches the button. That's the ghetto way, but I'm sure someone knowledgeable on electronics could tell you of another pot or another capacitor that'd do the trick.

...or you could sell it and buy the Ernie Ball wah instead. That thing sounds musical throughout the entire sweep (to me at least).

We need a Wah Wah sticky thread, surely I'm not the only one that messes with them
