Past two years ive been playing i never really put the effort into learning to play guitar.
I decided to change that, stoped using Tabs and started learning some chords.
Right know i know A,B,C,D,E,F,G chords.

My question to you is this, where do i go from here?
Learn more chords? theory? scales?

I really want to do this the right way and become a better player

don't do what you're "supposed" to do. figure out what you want to be able to do with the instrument, and then find out how you can get there. i think the best thing to do is to learn songs that you want to be able to play, and don't be intimidated by how difficult they may be

Start practising a bit of chords and scales, as well as a few songs from other artists here and there. You might want to leave learning theory until later if you feel that it might put you off.

Practising rythme is also very important so using a metronome every now and then is also a good idea.

I would suggest chord shapes, scales starting with the major scales, and the circle of fiths

so...learn more chords and some scales along with a metronome ?

edit: I really don't want to limit myself to one genera, would like to be a well rounded player.
