Anyone have any experience with this as a tonewood? I have found a large slab of what could possible be camphor laurel (not yet sure though) and I'm thinking of building a solid body strat out of it. Can anyone advise? The wood has a crack down the middle so I will probably have to saw it and glue the halves together.
Thanks

I've heard of Camphor burl as a topwood, but never camphor as a tonewood that I've seen. Give it a shot, post results.
