Hello.
I'm probably going to buy a new electric guitar once I get my paycheck for the summer work I've done. I'm pretty much set on getting a Epiphone Les Paul STD Plain Top - Honeyburst and I plan to order it on Thomann. But I've noticed that two different styles of the Honeyburst Les Paul Plain top are popping up when I'm searching for images.

and

The second style resembles the Cherryburst a little bit but it's not the same:

So I'm wondering if a second style even exists or is it just the way they photographed the guitar? If the second one exists , is it manufactured at the same time as the first one? Are different series (2007,2008,2010) differently painted?
For reference, here is the Thomann page. The guitar in the photo seems to be the darker style:

The thing with the honeyburst finish is that it varies a lot from one guitar to the next one. Some of them look almost like an amber top, some look closer to iced tea finishes. Also, it's hard to take pictures of it that do true justice to how the top looks in rel life.
Gear:

- Epiphone Les Paul Standard
- Vox VT-20+
