hi guys. I purchased this pedal a year ago only t have it break down on me in a matter of weeks. I reach in and mess with some wires by brushing them around and it starts working again for a while, but then quickly dies. How should I fix this?

Check all of the connections - it sounds like one is loose or hardly making contact. If that's the case, strip the end of solder and re-solder it to where it belongs. Blast with switch spray after and reassemble.
It's an opinion. It's subjective. And I'm right, anyway.

Ive looked hard, but cannot spy a loose connection. All seem to be solidly wired. Maybe one is just a bad wire? One strange thing is that the volume knob seem to twist too far to the right.

Switch spray it and check the connections. Especially the volume - you may need a new pot in there.
It could be a dry solder joint.

It sounds more like something wrong with a connection than anything else and it's not always completely obvious to the naked eye. If the volume pot is overturning then that could be a distinct possibility.
