Not really, they're both for the same goal. Ratings.

The funny thing is that he's complaining about Norway trying to indoctrinate the kids to believe certain things. Something I'm sure Mr. Beck would never do.

Oh wait he's a mormon, nevermind.

This is so yesterday, TS. The dude's an idiot, this is nothing new. Pretty much every significant political party has a youth wing, he just doesn't know what he's talking about.

I rarely ever engage in discussion about the little twat, but he's hung up on himself and bringing up Hitler and Nazi Germany every other breath... Tea-Partyers and some fundamentalist Christians worship the guy... Quite pathetic really.

How is this scumbag still on television? I don't care if you're a right winger, that is beyond wrong.

When you think about it, though, he's kind of right.

But is there a longer audio clip? Not just the really offensive line, so it could have a little context. Not trying to justify what he said at all, just curious why he said it and what else was said

Glenn Beck said that the bill being questioned in Arizona about asking illegal immigrant look-alike if they were legal, resembled Nazi Germany. "Asking someone to see their papers is the epitome of Nazi Germany." And about the story TS mentioned, He was making no point in what he said. He just said a random thing about how ridiculous the camp was to be based on politics. That's a very "out there" opinion. As I said, not really making a point.

I don't agree with what he says but from what I understand The basic idea of the camp was kinda like the Hitler youth. It's a camp about a political party for kids.
Not being horrible or anything, it was a huge tragedy.

Edit: Also it was for Labour party. Don't know about other countries but in the UK that's about the best party there is.

Every major political party has a youth wing, and some minor ones like our Communist Party (Tea Party Movement-esque, right?), Red (Socialism/Social liberal) and Democrats (Neo-conservativism).

To join, you have to be interested in the party. I'm pretty sure political parties in other countries have them as well.

EDIT:^Hitler Youth was about indoctrination, on this camp they discussed various political issues. Furthermore, the youth wing of the Labour Party differs vastly from the political party itself.

Yeah, the youth wings often only bear a passing resemblance to their parent parties. From what I've seen, they are almost always more socially liberal, and their economic ideas are usually slightly embellished further to whatever side the party is leaning in the first place.

Ya, except that modern political parties don't use their youth wings for indoctrination, the youth wings are usually independent of the party. I was party of Labour Youth a while back and we criticised the major party all the time.

I've always reckoned that if you want to get a feeling for what a party actually believes behind all the spin etc, have a look at its youth wing.

In my opinion, the youth wing seems to be more "extreme"; they aren't as modest about their views as the party they are representing. Labour Party over here is a disgrace, but their youth wing is actually respectable.

However, the socialist party Red has some nutty points, and the youth wing is no different in that. They actually want to abolish the grading system in school and select qualified applicants at random to universities. I know that today's sytem is bad; the only thing they assess you by is grades here in Norway, which mean that you can apply to medicine, law, etc. in the same cycle without having to explain why. You arrange choices 1 to 10 and if you get a place, you end up on waiting lists for the courses above and withdraw application from courses below. We also have subjects that are assessed horribly, like mandatory physical education, and exams in Norwegian. I think we should adapt a system more like the English or SQA Advanced Highers to honest. If the applicants had to explain themselves with a personal statement and a reference, the universities would be able to assess applicants in a better way. Red's solution just makes the system more unfair, which must be against their motives.

Socialistic Left Party wants to dumb down the school system as well as being horrid at keeping promises generally. The only major party I actually support nowadays, is the Centre Party, which is a Social Democratic / Social Liberal party. I can't be arsed to join their youth wing though.

People who think the debt ceiling is anything but a GOP conspiracy are sheep.

Misleading title is misleading. He did no such thing. He compared political youth organizations to the Hitler Youth Movement. He neither made nor drew any comparisons between Norwegian victims and NAZIS.
