I'm getting into recording and have a nice mic for instruments and for vocals too but i need a condenser mic to mic and entire drumset. This isn't crazy because I've done it before and the result has been pretty good. It would be awesome to use the mic for vocals too but ultimately I need a nice mic for the set. I don't want to spend more than 200. Thanks

Well, if you want it for vocals, too, then I suppose a large diaphragm is your answer.

No reason you couldn't use that for overheads.

Most people use small diaphragms on drums, though. Large for vocals.

The MXL 1006 is a decent quality LDC. I've never put it on drums, but it's worth a try. I get a very decent vocal sound of it. I've used it on Acoustic guitar, too.
