So I bought this old busted 100W Crate head a few weeks ago at a yard sale for $20. Opened it up, replaced a few burnt components, and got it going again in about 3 hours. A few weeks before that I got an MG412 slant cab (it wasn't that bad to be honest) for a decent price. I listed both of these on CL for $350 about 4 days ago, alright? I woke up this morning to a phone call that eventually landed me this:

ESP LTD Eclipse Deluxe EC1000FM
-Mahogany body, Flamed Maple Cap
-Mahogany neck, 24 fret rosewood fretboard
-Seymour Duncan JB/'59 zebra coils
-ESP locking tuners
-Earvana compensated nut
-Locking bridge/tailpiece

^And all that's stock. It's a heavy bastard, heavier than any other guitar I own. The JB has a great chunky bite to it when you dig in and the '59 sounds amazing for clean and lead work. I've got a zebra coil '59 in the neck of my Flying V, but this one sounds a bit better to my ear. It has a good amount of neckdive, probably due to the locking tuners. It has a great amount of sustain, which I'm guessing it coming from the locking bridge/tailpiece. Underneath the horn is routed away so it has amazing fret access all the way to the 24th and it had a small belly carve. It's a fantastic and well built guitar, it looks beautiful and has great pickups in it. This is a stage instrument for sure and I'm sure it would hold up to extensive use without a hiccup.

It sold new for about $849.00 and it's a 2010 model. The guy had another Eclipse with EMG's and played through a 6505+ half stack, he bought this one with his tax check last year and didn't play it too much. Soo... I landed a pretty sweet deal on CL . This is my 2nd best guitar score, first being when I traded a bottle of hot sauce for my Flying V.

I'm most likely gonna sell this guitar and use the money to buy a sweet head. Probably a Jet City JCA50H. I know this one was the only 1000 model to have something besides EMG's and not too many are built like this.

EDIT: These were taken with my cell phone, it's the best I can do atm...

boy did you get ripped off.

lol, nice trade.

edit: i'd list the eclipse for $500 and see what shakes. maybe i'm way off but you may have better luck in a gear forum with it since it's a sort of limited run instead of craigslist.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Thanks man, the pictures don't do the flamed top justice. It's a pretty deep flame and pops really well in sunlight.

The Earvana nut is interesting, I've always wanted to check one out and this guitar has one. The saddles are all in a straight line (damn near) and the intonation is dead on perfect.

The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

Damn I just bought the VB version brand new a couple of days ago. Now I feel ripped off.
You have amazing luck my friend. It's an amazing guitar, try not to rip off the guy you sell it to too bad.

P.s. there is also a VB version with SD pickups. Just sayin.

Actually, the guy that had the Flying V before me was the one that settled on a bottle of hot sauce lol. He had the guitar for a little while and never played it, so it just sat in it's case in the garage collecting dust. I just REALLY lucked out on that trade.
