And I'm back! Been a while since I've put anything new up here, been working a lot with a band (Cowlick) and not as much on my own thing/thang. But I found some spare time so I decided to lay down an idea I'd had for a while...

Please to make listen here.

As always, I'll go C4C. I'm not thrilled with how nutless the bass sound is - can anybody advise me on how to get a more powerful bass tone? EQ tricks, etc.? It kinda disappears sometimes...

Thanks for listening everybody!

Quality seems pretty good, but everything is kind of lacking in presence. I'm not quite sure how one would fix that though.
I like the vocals and the melody.
Chorus is catchy, but I don't really like the drums for it.
I see what you mean about the bass, but I think it sounds pretty good anyway.
The total lack of transition to the heavy chorus makes it sound choppy. I'd try and have some type of buildup to get you into the chorus.
Lead guitar is well played.

I really like this song, I'll make sure to check out your band.

C4C?

I like it. Not so much the chorus's drums, there seems to be a bit too much of one cymbal through them.

The problem here is that everything is sort of overlapping everything else. So, there's bass where the kick drum needs to be, cymbal where the guitar needs to be, guitar where the voice needs to be, etc. You need someone who's good with EQ to go through each part, reduce a ton of various frequencies, and get everything to mix and stand out from eachother... THEN you could work on giving everything a bit of uumph with light compression, slight chorusing, and doubling of the rhythm guitars.

EDIT:

Mine, I didn't post mine.

Nice song. As said before, the recording doesn't quite match the potential of the song. Not at all bad though, better than what I can record anyway.. The song itself, instruments and vocals individually, are very good, and I'm sure you can make a great live performance with this one.

I enjoyed it! Good job.

Ooh I really like it!!! I actually like the way it's mixed! It gives it a great sound!
Allthough I can see how it would sound "better" with a polished sound, but it depends on preference. I really love the gloomy sound of it. I'm sorta thinking of Planet Caravan (Black Sabbath).

Is that a kazoo ? Or a distorted voice? Whatever it is- it's awesome. Dude I really love this song. Can't say much more! Just keep it up like this and I'll buy your album!!!

Garageband + ONE (yes, one) mic on the drums = limiting...that ride dominates, definitely because I'm crashing it, but also because that's just a loud cymbal for the mic.

Option B haha just some overdrive on the vocals. I appreciate the love, I'll be sure to tell you when my album drops
