The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

if you embrace inaccurate intonation it can be quite arousing.

Shesh, that's how much one of those combos costs? Oh my.

First of all,

Budget?
Genres?
New or Used?
Home or Gig?
Closest City?
Current Gear?

2nd of all, just off the top of my head with that budget: Jet City JCA stack or combo, Vox AC4TV stack or combo, Peavey Windsor Studio, Bugera V22. Give us details and we can help out. ANYTHING but the MG though.

it doesn't really sound all that good, is a bit of a one-trick pony, and there are better-sounding, more versatile amps available for the same price or less.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

This

There are much better amps for the same price that you should look into like the Roland cube, the fender mustang, the peavy valveking and peavy vypyr, and the vox valvetronix.
Guitars: Fender FSR Standard Strat, Squire Affinity Strat, Epiphone Nighthawk
Amps: Vox AC15C1, Roland Cube 15x, Peavey KB-1
Pedals: Digitech RP355, HD500, Joyo AC-Tone, EHX Soul Food
