How do you guys like em?
How do they compare to Jackson necks?
I really like my guitars necks to be really thin.
As of now I have a ESP with a thin U
You like IHOP??? Socialist!!!

I love 'em. From what I've read, they're thinner than Jackson or ESP necks. They're reasonably flat, too. My eight-string's neck is thinner than my ukelele.

The ESP Thin U isn't thin.

I have a guitar with a Thin U, Xtra Thin U, and Wizard II sitting right next to me. The Wizard II is insanely thin compared to the Thin U. The Xtra Thin U is in between. Kind of like a rounder, fuller Wizard II.

From waht I remember, Jackson necks are kind of like Wizard II's, but a little thicker and rounder.

Damn it! Disable can't use disable to disable Disable's disable because disable's disable has already been disabled by Disable's disable!

What the **** have you been smoking, it's stupidly thin. It just so happens that the ESP Extra Thin U and the Ibanez necks are even more stupidly thin.

Well I guess that all depends on your point of view, doesn't it.

The Thin U is an average neck size. It's not thick, but it's not thin.

As far as the broad range of necks go though, I'd put it on the thicker side of the spectrum. It's definitely closer to a Gibson neck profile than an Ibanez.

Thin U really isnt that thin dude.

TS the Wizard II neck isnt that nice to be honest, it feels like a shaped 2x4 its that thin. The only Ibanez necks that are worth playing are the Prestige variations on the Wizard neck, so the Super Wizard, Ultra Profile and Prestige Wizard are all lovely feeling necks, not the one found on the non prestige models though.

Maybe if the only Gibsons you've played have had their necks sanded down. Pretty much the only brands thinner than the ESP U is the Ibanez Wizard necks and some Jacksons. I think those Epiphone prophecy guitars might have had a thinner neck too I'm not sure, only played one of them. But the ESP neck is thinner than any Fender neck, any Schecter neck, Gibson, Epiphone, Squier, Dean, BC Rich, Suhr, G&Ls, Carvins, you name it.

ESP's neck may be medium or a bit thick for a 'metal' guitar but for guitars overall it's definitely on the thin side. By a long way.

My S540 has a Wizard neck and I like it a lot. I've played a friend's RG370 with the Wizard II and thought it felt flat in addition to thin. I also used to have an '86 Charvel Model 4 and that was probably my favorite neck in terms of profile. I don't know how current Jacksons/Charvels compare to that though.

the wizard neck can feel a little weird at first, but i think that's just due to the fact i thumb fret a hell of a lot. it also feels really smooth

I despise the Wizard II. Before I played a Japanese Ibanez I had only played the Indonesian ones with the Wizard II neck and I decided I hated Ibanez guitars. Then I tried my friend's RG7620 which is MIJ and I fell in love with it.

So what I'm saying is that the MIJ Ibanez necks feel a hell of a lot better than the Indo/Chinese/Korean/etc. ones.
