First off, I love the finger picking melody!!!! Your vocals fit well for this style, I actually really like your lyrics too. I think you could have a real winner with this song. Your playing seems to be really nice and clean, I would suggest you do a better recording if you plan to do anything else with the song, I usually don't suggest this, but I think your song is good enough to go that far. Good job!

Critting as I listen.

Great start. Love the fingerpicking. Really sets the mood. The vocals are VERY fitting, and sound awesome. I love the lyrics especially. I also think you can make a very nice live performance somewhere, you seem really into the song, which is just great. I'd have been very proud if I'd wrote song like this.

You should really try and see if you can make a better recording of this, I'd love to hear it. Great job.

i like the chord progression and the finger picking
i like your voice, and the lyrics are good. not the usually cheesy bullshit you hear so often
the song doesn't seem to have a lot of change in it though. it would sound a lot better if you could have it be building up to something. maybe you could have some really like percussion or bass or something come in.

Hey. Hey... Hey, hey, hey. The background noise totally works in this song though. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that this was some popular folksong from the 60's... It all works together so well. Given the circumstances, this is the closest thing I've heard to perfection on the site today. Can you rip the audio from the vid and post it on your profile? I'd like to add it to my site playlist.

Mind taking a listen to mine?

Really like the fingerpicking dude!!!

This song is really really amazing!!!
Gives me goosbumps. Really great lyrics, 100% perfect vocals!

The parts where you change key are so sweet too!

Please record this under better conditions and send it around to record companies etc.!

It would be worth it shelling out some cash to get it recorded in a studio man!
Damnit I'd like to record you haha!

Very cool.

It kinda sounds like "First Day Of My Life" by Bright Eyes.

Your voice has that perfect melodic grittiness for this kind of music. I dunno how well you can actually hold a tune, but it sounds great here.

I understand that this is a live performance and that you won't be able to play your guitar exactly on tempo, but this song would improve greatly if you could get a click track and some earphones so you can have something to play along to.

This is a great song, but I swear I've heard it before. Like I said before, it is very similar in style to songs like First Day Of My Life. I'm sure you will develop a more unique sound as your songwriting improves, I'm just letting you know what you sound like right now so that you have some kind of reference point.

Hope this helps

First off, the guitar melody through the intro - love it love it love it.
Vocal melody in the verse is great, reminds me of the country/folk stuff my grandma used to listen to,
Vocal melody in the chorus is haunting, and emotional, lyrics are equally powerful IMO "oh no no no, wherever i go, i'm goin alone" i love the simplicity and all the ways to interpret it.
Overall the song has great potential but also sounds very familiar, so I'd check into songs that you may be inadvertantly ripping off some other song.
I'm excited to see if you take the song anywhere, if you do re-record it or anything, PM me with a link!
