Hi, I currently own a Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster, and a Fender Frontman 15 G Amp. A friend of mine is selling a Peavey Stratocaster; I assume it's a Raptor but I'm not sure which one (it has 3 single-coils) and a Peavey Rage 158 Amp. Would you say that the two Peavey things are worth buying for £40 or so, given my current setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much!

Yeah dude, if the guitar is half decent to play then it's definitely worth it.
It's always handy to have a back up guitar.
Try it out and see what you think of it.

yes. Comparable to slightly better guitar and much better amp.

Really? They appear to both be from the Peavey starter kit, and the amp is the same size? Thanks though

Amp size =/= amp quality man.
It's all about the tone, not the volume.
