I've got a Jackson Dkmg that I've owned for over 4 months but after replacing the battery after the gain dipped horribly, it got worse.

If you take out the battery, it sounds like a guitar with $2 pickups on a sheet of paper... If you have emg pickups and remove the batteries... you get that.... sound...

if you put batteries it... same thing, no difference.
I've been tinkering around for a day now and I'm worried about my guitar.

Just sounds as if there are no batteries in the guitar at all... even if they're in.

sounds like ur power connection is broke check the battery connector for loose wires and trace it till you find a problem
