Okay, so I just bought this pedal at a yard sale for $2.

It's obviously a Boss MT-2. (a pretty beat up one, but hey, you can't beat 2 bucks)

But now for my question:
I've seen these mod kits you can buy (like the keeley mod kit) around ebay and thought, are they really worth it? Does it really make the pedal sound better?
I've never tried modding a pedal, so I figured this would be my chance to try it out.

Nice steal. Most of the mods out there are in fact out there, cuz they work. I only have one, a Keeley DS-1 mod, but it works well. Take a chance, try one, you'll probably be rewarded with a pedal worth well more than $2.00.

nice find , but you could change it to any pedal you want if you buy
the circut board and parts online .

^^ Thanks guys.

So yeah, I think I AM gonna "pull the trigger" and do the whole keeley mod.
It's sort of a "what do I gotta lose except 2 bucks" sort of deal anyway.

Just use it as a solo boost with the gain low. I've heard of people having good results that way. I use mine as a door stop. Literally.

I'm actually using it as a solo boost for now.
But I figured I could try a little project with it since I wouldn't be losing much.

try the diezel HiFi mod for the MT2, sounds incredible IMHO

Thanks for the suggestion, bud.

I see if I could find some videos and reviews on both the Keeley and Diezel HiFi mods.
