Growing up I've always had a taste of ska here or there, mostly from Tony Hawk Pro Skater games....but most of the best ska songs are singles.

Can I get some recommendations on great ska albums?

My favorite is Somewhere in the Between, by Streetlight Manifesto. It's the only competition as far as whole albums go, and it's in my top 10 greatest albums ever list (with the rest of that list being classic rock).

I also enjoyed Let's Face- Mighty Mighty Bosstones

I would put some Less Than Jake on here, but they seem to be too interested in punk to put out a good ska album =/

You're going to look me in the eye and tell me third wave ska is a respectable genre?

There's actually a number of ska and ska-ish bands I listen to regularly, it's just that a lot of third wave is... obnoxious.

No one said it's respectable, but that doesn't mean some of us don't like it

I'm giving pezcore a listen right now, thanks. Shotgun and Liquor Store are both solid so far. God bless Spotify.

Check out Squirtgun. They have a few ska songs, although they mostly play "Ramonescore" or whatever. But still good.

Also check Out RX Bandits' older stuff. I don't care much for them, but you might. And obviously Kalnoky-era Catch-22 if you haven't.

catch 22 - keasbey knights
reel big fish - turn the radio off
slackers - redlight (if they count)
sublime - 40 oz to freedom and self-titled (prefer the former, but both solid and consistently good albums)

I dunno how srs you were being, but I was srsly considering listening to it once this Sun Ra album wraps up.

Everyone should listen to less ska & more Bikini Kill.

To be fair, The Specials did a lot of covers, & those were good!

Well it's probably true, but I've never really cared for Bikini Kill. It just so happens that I listened to 'em yesterday, but I still couldn't get into 'em. I like 'em on principle, though.

Everyone should listen to less ska, a little bit more Bikini Kill, and a bunch of Sun Ra.

I kind of feel the exact same way.

Except for Beer by RBF and Superman by Goldfinger

The rest is just kind of a blur

Big D and the Kids Table man! Strictly Rude is a classic and their newest one, For the Damned, the Dumb and the Delirious, is pretty sweet too! (not as good though)

Goldfinger - Self Titled
-Hang Ups

Reel Big Fish - Turn the Radio off

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Let's Face It

and some people call ...And Out Come the Wolves by Rancid 3rd wave ska, but I'm not sure. It's a good album though. I love ska-punk. Everything by sublime is pretty good too.
