I am attempting to install a "Super vee" trem system on a strat. this required installing a new nut. I have removed the old nut and am ready to install the new one. What sort of glue should I use to hold the nut in place? Just carpenter's glue? Or something else since the nut is metal? Thanks.
Yes just a drop of carpenters glue will hold it in place.
Are you talking about the larger locking section of the Super Vee nut? That isn't meant to be glued on, its held by string pressure. If you're talking about the actual nut, wood glue won't adhere to the metal nut. If it doesn't sit reasonably tight in the slot by itself, 2 very small drops of super glue will hold it in place fine.
