Please forgive me for my noobishness, but I've overcome my days of not restringing a guitar myself (6 months playing) and I have finally done so. However, after I restrung it, it is in E flat tuning (stretched the string) but it sounds very tinny and hollow. It kind of sounds like a drop tuning that went to low but is in tune (basically, in tune but sounds like there is no string tension, but there is). It sounded fine on the last pair but it sounds really weird and I hate it.

I am using a Srat. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: My dad told me I wrapped it around the machine peg and into the nut as opposed to into the nut and then around. He's kind of laughing about it and its a dumb mistake, but will this affect the sound?

Being a noob is an excuse for everything.

they will sound flat,

that's why I stretch them in the first hour of tuning and playing..

anytime they go flat, you tune again, and again and again,

any other issues could be caused if you changed the gauge of the strings
