Do you believe it is possible for an album to be perfect? I do not, and to demonstrate, I'll use one of my favorites, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Every single song on that record can be looked at as the best one, but still it seems like for every awesome line (It’s been a while since I watched the tube / Cause like a crip said, “I got way too many blues for any more bad news”) there's some stupid line (She find pictures in my e-mail / I sent this bitch a picture of my dick.) Besides that, everything else (the production, guest spots, etc) is as close to perfect as possible.

If you say yes, what albums do you think are perfect?

Who Will Survive in America and All of the Lights (Interlude) suck ass, and by that I mean are pretentious as hell.

Perfection is a subjective bias perception of something you wouldn't change, so I'd say it's possible for every album to be perfect.
For me, Machine Head's The Blackening, and The Colour and the Shape by the Foos are perfect.

Dark Side of the Moon.

Agree, except for on the run, the only song I actually skip.

I say number of the beast by Iron Maiden.
Wish you were here by Pink Floyd
El espíritu del vino-Héroes del Silencio. (Great Spanish rock, you should listen to them...Avalancha appeared in Guitar Hero but I think is one of the weakest songs)

Nah, there are albums that I enjoy most of the tracks as being equally great, though. Perfection is a different thing, I think.

Look up the censored version on iTunes. Just about half of the chorus is awkward silences

As perfect depends on your own personal taste in music then yes and no, but I myself think several albums are perfect or damn close.

In my heart I'm with you

The Wall, and TS if you use a rap record at least use "Illmatic" by Nas. Also, Evan Brewer - Alone, Animals as Leaders - self titled, Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast, Black Sabbath - self titled, and Far Beyond Driven - Pantera.

That's my least favorite song on that whole album

Dark Fantasy ftw, simply for the Urkel line.

You sir, have no taste. Well you do, it's just wrong. y u no like what i like. I don't like All of the Lights, but every other song on that album is pretty great.

Also, Watch the Throne is fantastic.

Because it's impossible for there to be more than one good rap record?

I'll assume you mean Number of the Beast, right?
Run to the Hills is a song on that album.

If we're on the subject of rap, Madvillainy and Doomsday ftw.

For me, Horizons by Parkway Drive. And jumping into a totally different genre, just about all of Clapton's work. These are examples, in my opinion, of close to perfection. But, to answer the original question, as close to perfection as we may perceive an album to be at any given point, a better album comes about and blows minds. My point: music can always improve!
#39
I don't think there are any perfect albums- at least, not that I've heard. But the ones that I feel have come the closest are:

Colors by BTBAM
Act II: The Meaning of, And All Things Regarding Ms. Leading by The Dear Hunter
Kezia by Protest the Hero
Menos El Oso by Minus the Bear
The Greatest of All Lost Arts by Lower Definition
My band, Escher
My progressive rock project, Mosaic

Quote by Lappo
clearly, the goal is to convert every thread into a discussion about BTBAM

BTBAM IS ALWAYS RELEVANT
