As perfect depends on your own personal taste in music then yes and no, but I myself think several albums are perfect or damn close.

OT: Closest to "perfect" that I can think of...

The Wall, and TS if you use a rap record at least use "Illmatic" by Nas. Also, Evan Brewer - Alone, Animals as Leaders - self titled, Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills, Black Sabbath - self titled, and Far Beyond Driven - Pantera.

You mean Number of the Beast? I'm surprised it's been mentioned even more than once in here, as though I would agree it's got some good classic Maiden tracks, it's certainly not a contender for perfect Maiden in my books. Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son are the closest to perfect they've ever been for me.

edit: sorry, I see you've already noticed the mistake

Some of my favourite "perfect" albums... (IMO)
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
Sgt. Peppers - The Beatles
Quadrophenia - The Who
Sabotage - Black Sabbath
The Chemical Wedding - Bruce Dickinson

Far Beyond Driven - Pantera.

Gross. There isn't a single Pantera album that I can listen to all the way through. They have some great songs, but they have a lot of terrible ones too.

Perfect album? Doesn't exist. If I had to pick though...

John 5 - Songs for Sanity
Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?

It'd probably be one of those. All of this stuff just comes down to opinion, really.

Asking Alexandria- Stand Up And Scream

I don't understand the hype with these guys. Downloaded their stuff last night along with Black Veil Brides. Listened to a good portion of each album and wasn't impressed. What they're doing doesn't seem all that different from all of the other hardcore/metalcore/whateveryouwanttocallit-core bands out there, but then again, that's not exactly my favorite genre of music.

Black Veil Brides were a breath of fresh air. I did enjoy their stuff.

No I don't think so. Even my favourite albums like Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Led Zeppelin IV, and Houses of the Holy, are far from perfect.

Because it's impossible for there to be more than one good rap record?

Don't be that guy. Please.

Also, I forgot to post a list of a few of my "perfect" albums:

Broken Social Scene- You Forgot it In People
The Pains of Being Pure At Heart- Belong (Possibly my favorite album from this year)
Alaska in Winter- Dance Party In the Balkans
Haley Bonar- Big Star
The Comas- Conductor
Ben Folds & Nick Hornby- Lonely Avenue
Carissa's Wierd- Songs About Leaving
Pinehurst Kids- Bleed it Dry(Got it a week ago, and I've listened to it all the way through a good ten times already)

Texas Flood by SRV and Handful of Blues by Robben Ford I think are two examples of perfectly written and recorded blues albums.

Actually, if the Use Your Illusion's albums can count as one, then yes, that is a perfect album.

Music from "The Elder" by Kiss.

Just kidding, Strange Universe by Mahogany Rush, in my eyes is a perfect album, as is Purple Rain by Prince and the Revolution

EDIT: Also, Edges of Twilight by the Tea Party

The Empyrean - John Frusciante

I'm not a spiritual man by any means, but every track on that album generates the sort of feeling that only a higher power could create.

Also, Traced In Air by Cynic

Both albums are journeys which can't be fully appreciated by hearing an individual track. In my opinion, that's what makes perfection in terms of an album.

Electric Wizard - Dopethrone
Sigur Rós - Ágætis byrjun
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

no, people throw "perfect" around way too often.

oftentimes it's just "my fav albums" which is ok just don't put a "perfect" label on it.

That is not Kanye's Best. His best song is Family Business in my opinion.

Some 10/10 albums imo

I'm just saying of course there are a bunch of "perfect" hip hop albums out there, and he didn't say anything against it... Also *insert passive-aggressive insult about your particularly /mu/core flavored taste that I'm too tired to think up here*

That Sigur Ros album is the tit's nipples though

Excellent choices. I would have At the Gate's Slaughter of the Soul, and Metallica's Ride the Lightning instead. For Death... read my signature.

Also I'm not a fan of Between the Buried and Me but Colors is excellent. I swear I had all of the Protest the Hero albums, but I guess not, I only have their second.

Forgot Peace Sells... but Who's Buying? by Megadeth, Brave Murday Day by Katatonia, Among the Living by Anthrax, Crack the Skye by Mastodon, The Punishment for Decadence by Coroner, Doomsday for the Deceiver by Flotsam and Jetsam, The Legacy by Testament, Fear of Tommorrow by Artillery, and The Blackening by Machine Head.

Jesus, I keep thinking of more, I'm just going to stop right now.

Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Skeletonwitch - Beyond the Permafrost
Heathen - Breaking the Silence
Joe Satriani - Surfing with The Alien
Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Testament - The New Order

I'm just listing albums in which I skip no songs.

This sig is colored just to annoy the UG classic users.

Trying to think of witty things to put in my sig. Message if you have ideas.
