I still enjoy listening to Mumford and Sons even though it's so generic and unoriginal.

I know what you mean. If a band does the generic thing well, I don't mind listening to them at all.

Sha. I just love to belt The Cave in a posh british accent since it's actually in my singing range. And then stomp my foot when the banjo enters.

For the band and for the history of music? yes, yes I do.

Maybe not "perfect", but there are many albums that have a genius/ thought out tracklisting, complete and classic artwork to go with it, and is representation of the band "firing on all cylinders" as they say. What are those albums? I don't know.

I personally love:

Scar Symmetry - Holographic Universe, absolutely amazing album start to finish...
Metallica - The Black Album
Protest the Hero - All three... But Fortress more so imo.
Machine Head - The Blackening

Yes I believe there is a perfect album, but all down to personal opinions..

I'm surprised no one has said Abbey Road - The Beatles yet! (unless if I've missed it)

To me that is the perfect last album.

Perfection:- Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon, Beatles Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, Tool Lateralus & 10000 days

Near Perfection

Metallica Black Album too many shit songs and production is way worse on some tracks

Megadeth Peace Sells But Whos Buying..amazing vibe very very raw but i aint superstitious spoils it for me

Nirvana Nevermind..they should have used half the songs on Incesticide rather than some of the filler

Queen Night At the Opera..too many random songs for me but i do love lazing on a sunday afternoon

Def Leppard Hysteria..amazing production but again some shit songs

There's different senses of it. Music is subjective so you can always pick a flaw in something. But putting that aside, I think a lot of albums work very well as a whole. There's something about the way they fit together that makes them work, even if there is a track that isn't quite as good as the rest. Strangely large proportion are concept albums too.

QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf is the best example. Everything on that record just works.

Also, Crack the Skye
Neil Young - Live at Massey Hall
Rage Against the Machine - Self-titled
Opeth - Blackwater Park.

I could agree with TS's choice of MBDTF, but I tend to skip So Appalled. Nearly perfect album though.

Yes, it is possible to have a perfect album. Mine would be The Wall, Axis: Bold as Love & The Doors selftitled.
