Hey!

My palms are a bit more sweaty than what's usual when I play the guitar, so after some months my neck's become quite sweaty/greasy, basically frictionous, which slows my playing speed quite a bit!

So how do you guys clean your necks to get that delicious, friction-less feeling they have as new? Just some regular dishwashing soap and some water or wat?

Thank you.

P.S it's a standard maple neck and I dont want to sandpaper off the finish!

I just wipe mine down real good with a microfiber cloth. Takes away all that post show grease for me. Some people wouldn't recommend using water but i say a very lightly damped cloth should do. But be sure to wipe it dry quickly. And don't do it to your fretboard.
