I've got an Ibanez RG42FXQM and it's got a DiMarzio D-Sonic in the bridge. It's pretty good. Just not EXACTLY what I need. My band is saying I should just swap it out for an EMG 81. Which I don't see as a terribly bad idea. We're going for a Djent-y, I the Breather type of sound, so should I swap the D-Sonic out? Btw, the bar is facing the bridge, would spinning it around change it's tone much?

Right as of now we're using Crate Flexwave 120H's... lol. failure I know, but the other guitarist has 2 of them and I don't have a half stack so we just used them both.
And I think I would use BKP if I had money.

Theres a set on ebay usa right now for 320.00.
Still not cheap, but easier to deal with then 400$+ from bkp directly.

BKPs are good, but so are Duncans and Dimarzios, and for over $100 less a set.

But I'd say getting a better amp is in order, along with an EQ pedal if you don't have one. The biggest factor in your tone is going to be your amp and settings before the pickups.
