It's alright, nothing brilliant though. If you find one used for under 800 USD I'd snatch it up.

I have owned both the EL-34 and 5881 version. Both are awesome amps, the EL-34 version replicates the JTM, 800 and 900 almost spot on and has that "classic vibe" to it. The 5881 version is probably my favorite Marshall ever made. I finally had a chance to try one the past two weeks and I was blown away. For the $600 I paid, it was WELL worth it. I'd always been a huge fan of EL-34s, especially in Marshalls, but those 5881s just work extremely well in that amp.
