We're actually still not sure of the best genre to describe it. But that's not hugely important.

My band, man made origin, are near ready to release our first full length album. This is the first track from it, and we are very proud. We've spent a good bit of money to get a high quality of recording.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Its on my profile.

I like the ambient lead in the intro. all the layers mix together well. the transition around 1:30 definitely set the tone for the vocals to come in. i liked the change up there.

when the clean vocals come in i like the odd melody. i say definitely work on your melody writing and add in some other cool odd vocal melodies in future songs.

during some of the parts where you're just playing the same chords over and over, i think it might sound good if you added in another layer or something. parts like that can get monotonous. i dont think it necessarily does here, but it's just something to think about.

the production is good. i like the overall vibe and tone of the recording. i also like the dynamics. sounds good man. keep it up.

would you mind taking a listen to my new song? http://soundcloud.com/brokenlungs/stuck-in-red/

Scottish experimental death metal eh? I approve of this indeed!
I too like the droning in the intro, sets a very calm and relaxing mood, like the calm before a storm, a preperation for the aural assault that lies in wait..

Great recording too. Self-produced or did you go elsewhere and have someone else record you? Either way the end result sounds great \m/
