Hey guys,

I read the 'rules' so this thread will include two pictures and a short video,
I actually really like the idea,

I've read so many threads on other sites where it's like "i'll post photo's tomorrow...."
Cool story bro but the thread needs pic's!

Last friday I ordered a Chapman Guitar ML-2,
I already have the Ml-1, so i new the quality was going to be good but I had no idea how well constructed it would be!

Here's some pic's, a unboxing/first play video. And a brief write up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_TDCYbKp_I

Now this is by no means a review, I really need a solid week or two to give this guitar the time it deserves in order to review it properly. I just wanted people to know how great a guitar it is before it sells out and anyone wanted to purchase it misses out.

The full review will have every possible aspect discussed. But really 5 main things I love about the guitar are:

1. How bright, clear and crisp it is acoustically (Great build construction)
2. How well balanced the body is weighted. It fits so well on the should and chest when standing up. The neck isn't pointing to the sky, nothings poking into you.
3. How the fast the maple neck feels, i love single cuts but few have maple necks.
4. How good the stock pickups are, nice and clean and defined. Heaps of bite but clean up really well.
5. The price!! 350 pound seems a steal for a guitar of this quality. I put it in the same league as my godin lg which was almost three times the price!

The main reason i posted this thread was to give anyone a chance who's on the fence about the ML-2 a chance to pick one up before they disappear! There's less than 50 left now.

And considering the guitar has only been available for purchase for a week, they are selling very very quickly.

That's all folks, a big big review coming in the next two weeks. More info at the links below,

Pat

If I can wrangle the cash I might be getting one to try as well, would you say its a step up from the ML1?

A huge step up mate, Big difference in tone and quality.
I'm not at all suggesting the ml1 didn't have good quality, it certainly did.

The ML2 is just overall designed better. It's the nature of a company starting out.
The ML2 is a brilliantly priced singlecut

Again, very very happy with mine,

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

If I lived in the UK I would most definitely have one of these. I love Chappers videos and the guitars look beautiful.

Honestly I was unsure whether to order originally because:

1. I couldn't play it first
2. I didn't think they could ship them to Australia

1. In the end i decided, really because there's only 200-300 of these in the world they will always have a high re-sale value simply because they're pretty rare.

2. Andertons Ship pretty much anywhere worldwide, I was so surprised when it showed up just after five days!

I've been looking on the andertons website, and I wish they weren't, I've only just learnt about Chappers and all his cool shit (can't believe I missed out on Monkey Fest!!!) And I thought this beaut would be a great guitar for me, as I would love to mod the shit out of it, and it's already an amazing piece of kit, BUT THEY ARE ALL GONE! :'(

edit:

no they aren't d'oh, but alas, I am too poor to afford one :C

I think shipping was like 40-50 pound. It was a pretty good deal mate, could believe how quick it made it here
