Hey there,

I got 2 offers for the original 2 eq 5150's for my Single rectifier. One has 6l6's the other kt77's.

What's the difference I'm going to hear in between the amps? I'm going to try to get a chance to test both amps, but just in case.

Thanks

This is not answering your question at ALL and I appologize but, how does the prs go with blackouts! I read your gear list and lost my shit! wow, just wow haha.

hahaha, they're sick, but When i get a better guitar I think I'm going use a hot passive, I've just kit a point where I'm kinda "over" active pick ups. But it's a great combo, the PRS SE's are some of the best guitars in there price range but the pick ups are way to weak for me.

A 5150 cannot safely use KT-77s without mods. I'd be very weary of that amp.

Either way though, I've tried one that was modded to use EL-34s and as much as I love EL-34s and prefer them over 6L6s, the 5150 sounds best with 6L6s in it IMO.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Cool thanks MatrixClaw. I've been a 6l6 guy, so I'll go for that hearing how the other amp is modded. I want stock.
