So, I was at a show tonight watching some local bands and a few headliner acts like Defiler and Demolisher. And the WHOLE time I was getting kicked by these 120-pound scene kids doing their "hardcore dancing". Personally, its stupid how they can kick you all night, but the moment you grab them and lay a punch you get treated like a punk. So my question is, am I the only on who is troubled by this?

I like to just smash them to the ground accidentally.

I went to an Avenged Sevenfold concert last year. Everybody was my age, but they were all like that, so it felt kind of weird. Nothing against them, but it's not my thing at all (and I don't plan on going to anymore shows like that).

Edit: Throwing a punch in unnecessary. I'm not sure if hardcore dancing is what I think it is, but I doubt he meant to be kicking you the whole time.

I think it's funny how moshcore kids will be two-stepping all over the place at Wonder Years shows, when it's essentially pop music.

I don't care what anyone is doing until the moment they step out of the pit and start fucking with people who don't want anything to do with it.

Or when there was no pit to begin with and 8-10 jackasses run around the room pissing people off.

Idiot ran into me and my drink went flying. He tried to get away, but I grabbed him and beat on him until the bouncers grabbed me and tossed me like I weighed as much as that kid.

Know what I hate at shows? Crowdsurfers. Sure, I get it, you're in the spotlight and everyone has to manhandle your ass, but I don't like getting kicked in the head all night.
Way worse than hardcore dancing. I'd much rather get kicked in the legs.
Who wrote the blood and water chapter anyway? Probably some surly dad, only child, thirty cats.

I was at an outdoor concert. Me and these two 50 somethings (weighed 250 each at least) were trying to protect our women from these tards, and I just lifted this kid who weighed like 105 lbs and yelled at him for a full 15-20 seconds. I didn't even say any words, just went "GAHHHHHHH!H!H!H!H!H!H!H!" I think he peed.

that two step shit is the gayest, hoLY, thes white kids were dancig lke that all night at this show i was playing at and it just look so fcking goofy!

moshing is fun when you're into it and just pushing each other around and stuff, but if somebody's seriously being a prick and elbowing/ kicking/ whatever, dont be scard to give him a nice shot to the ribs :]

The only thing about doing that is they sometimes like to band together all of a sudden, and next thing you know you have 5 or 6 dudes trying to jump on you at once. And no matter how big you are or how scrawny they, that's a lot to take on at once.

There was this kid doing like, karate kicks into the crowd of people not in the pit, and eventually another guy grabbed him and started pounding him. The karate kid looked at him like "wtf" but he knew he deserved it, but of course the guy got kicked out and karate boy got to kick some more. Its ridiculous because I went in there like actually moshing and it was almost alien to them like "why am i being pushed?". Freaking scene kids i swear...
#16
thankfully ive never encountered the kicking/ lawnmower fist pumping/ retard swinging kids, i thik i can count the number of scene kids ive seen here in vancouver on one hand :]

you ****ing asked for it going to a show with those bands. i guess you're really stupid enough to come home and post a thread about how upset you are at 16 year olds when you went to the ****ing 16 year-old-metal concert. eat shit and die

16 is old enough to know how to behave at a concert. If you kick people who don't want to be kicked, then you should be prepared for the consequences.

Like serious, when the singer yells "MOSH", you don't fairy kick in every which way. I just hope that mosh is gonna stick around and won't get overrun by over-caffeinated Monster chugging teens.

This. If you were at a gig like megadeth, nevermore, or trivium (*flameshield*) who don't have those sort of fans as a majority, then you would have a valid point but A7X were always gonna bring a room full of scene kids. Man up and deal with it.

I know that shit like that (hardcore dancing) is starting to get banned around where i live. I personally saw two scene kids get kicked out of the 9:30 club for it during Summer Slaughter, and at least 3 get slammed in the pit. Don't ask me what scene kids were doing at a death metal show.

I tend to avoid mosh pits, whenever I go and see a band live it's almost ALWAYS at the front of the stage.
I go to see a band play their music which I enjoy, not to risk being hit and dropping my drink 'cause some C**ts can't control themselves

Ok, so like, I was invited to this show, not wanting to miss a potentially kick ass show and not knowing the bands. So I don't see how it's my fault that kids like to do tae kwon do when others are listening to the music. I'm just saying I don't like it,and looking for people who agree, voiced my opinion and that's all. If you think hardcore dancing is the shit, then great, ill stay in the back so that I don't get hit by the bottom of your black and white checkered Van's.

DUDE! I hate hate hate hardcore dancing with a passion. Warped Tour was annoying as balls because if you weren't near the hardcore dance circle, you were getting kicked in the head by a crowd surfer. **** that noise.

When I saw BtBaM, it was just good ol' moshing

You get the official "Ok with CrazySam" award, sir.

OT: Seriously, if someone's being an ass like that, nick 'em where it'll leave a bruise. A swift, hard elbow to ribs or something. They may not stop (though if they're ****ing smart, they will), but at least you get the satisfaction of knowing they'll have a bruise tomorrow. Be sure to apologize straight-faced, of course.

I find it incredibly ironic that these kids have the ability to kick me in the face, but none of them can fight.

You, good sir, have not gone over to your friends house after a hard night of drinking to find 2 dudes passed out in the same room both holding their own flaccid cocks in hand, passed out, with porn on the tv.

one time at a festival, in a tent, some guy made his own little mosh pit...of just himself, and kept banging into me, so i grabbed him and pushed him far away, and just glared at him.

then another time for a tiny local band, some people were doing that two step thing...the band was playing like...thin lizzy, stuff like that..

Dealt with this shit at Dillinger Escape Plan last year. I took one kid and threw him into the main pit and never saw him after than. The worst part was people bumping into me trying to mosh to Animals as Leaders. That was ****ing stupid. Had to put up with dumbasses in general at BTBAM a few months ago. Me, my friend and this random guy just start shoving people out so we could hold our spot at the front. And I hate crowdsurfers 100% of the time. I don't think I'd ever be in a pit. I want to actually see the band I paid to see.
