I'm not sure how to describe BB King's style. It's not Chicago, Delta blues. I'm not an expert on classifying different genres of blues. What do you think his genre is?

he style varies but the BB everybody is familiar with you could just call some good ol' electric blues I believe

He's more influenced by guys like Lonnie Johnson, Lowell Fulson, Elmore James (the vibrato of his slide) and T Bone Walker. His style is (or was at least) more polished than delta blues or chicago blues styles. I'd probably just call it urban electric blues with strong roots in gospel, jazz, swing and even soul...

I guess you could just classify him as a blues performer in the sub-group of singing guitarists or guitaring singers of the blues variety
